United Microelectronic Corporation (UMC) - Taiwan Scanimetrics has been invited to participate in the Gold IP Program founded by United Microelectronic Corporation (www.umc.com) based in Taiwan. UMC is the second largest foundry in the world offering manufacturing services to the semiconductor industry. Under the Program, Scanimetrics licenses its Intellectual Property to UMC customers with a significant benefit of wider distribution and strengthening of our IP for UMC processes. Through this program, Scanimetrics will access foundry services of UMC to fabricate its first product prototype.
Cadence Design Systems (USA) Scanimetrics is an active participant in Cadence Design Systems’ eDAcard Gold Program. This program offers Scanimetrics' engineering personnel use of Cadence's electronic design automation technology. Cadence (www.cadence.com) is a world-class provider of software tools and engineering services for the semiconductor industry. Scanimetrics will use the support to further the commercialization of its technology.
	Alberta Ingenuity Fund Scanimetrics is proud to receive support from the Alberta Ingenuity Industrial Associateship program. This competitive program helps support Scanimetrics design engineers who recently graduated from a Masters or Doctoral program.
	NRC-IRAP Scanimetrics receives significant support for its research and development team through the National Research Council - Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP).
	VenturePrize In 2003, Scanimetrics jump-started its operations by winning $50,000 in the inaugural VenturePrize business plan competition, an initiative of TEC Edmonton and Edmonton Economic Development.
Banff Venture Forum In September 2003, Scanimetrics won the Best Early Stage company award at the Banff Venture Forum. This annual event showcases 25 high tech companies to the investment community.
Southwest Test Workshop Scanimetrics was recognized with the Most Innovative Technology Presentation at the 2004 Southwest Test Workshop. The SouthWest Test Workshop is the only IEEE/CS sponsored event that focuses on all the aspects associated with microelectronic wafer and die level testing.
	TEC Edmonton Scanimetrics appreciates the support it receives from TEC Edmonton including: flexible commercial lab and office space in the TEC Edmonton-managed Research Transition Facility access to Canada’s largest network of angel investors through TEC Edmonton’s Alberta Deal Generator Program assistance with communications support and regional exposure opportunities through JumpStart Programs such as TEC Connector; and, technology licence negotiation and patenting support of University of Alberta inventions through the Technology Transfer Program
	University of Alberta The University of Alberta continues to support Scanimetrics through leading-edge researchers and technology transfer such as spin-off company creation. The U of A has also continued to support the development of Scanimetrics through licensing the use of new-patented inventions. In turn, Scanimetrics creates high-skilled employment opportunities for the University’s students, graduates and former staff.
