Steven Slupsky, Co-founder,
President and CEO
Steven Slupsky co-founded Scanimetrics with Brian Moore and is one of
the visionaries driving the company. He is actively involved in many aspects
of Scanimetrics including technology development, intellectual property
management, business development and marketing.
Slupsky has worked in the semiconductor, advanced microelectronics and
embedded systems design fields for 20 years. He served as entrepreneur,
design engineer and architect, and later held leadership and management
roles on many advanced technology projects. As one of the main inventors
for Scanimetrics technologies, Slupsky has patented several wireless techniques
for wafer-level semiconductor testing.
Prior to joining Scanimetrics, Slupsky was Vice President and Chief Technology
Officer at AMC Technologies and also served as Vice president at Micralyne,
Inc. He holds Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Alberta.
Brian Moore, Co-founder and Director of Research & Development
Brian Moore co-founded Scanimetrics in 2003 based on technology he developed
while a graduate student at the University of Alberta. His primary research
focused on developing small, highly integrated RF transceivers in CMOS
circuits. At Scanimetrics, Moore is the manager of R&D where he brings
advanced concepts into functional reality for the benefit of customers
and clients.
Over his 25-year career, Moore has been held senior technical, administrative
and management positions related to the launch of high-tech startups,
venture capital acquisition, production, and product manufacture. He is
a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of BigBangwidth, Inc., which
develops products to expedite secure delivery of content-rich and visually
complex data, such as needed for remote, real time, High Definition, 3D
robotic control.
In addition to his business activities, Moore is very active in organizations
promoting education, research and business in Nanotechnology, MEMS and
Microsystems in Alberta and across Canada. Moore earned his Bachelor of
Science degree at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Christopher Sellathamby, Vice President of Engineering
With his strong technology and development background, Chris Sellathamby
oversees the technical activities of Scanimetrics’ product development
team. Focusing on research and development, he specializes in semiconductor
processing, microprocessor-based systems and digital circuit design.
Prior to joining Scanimetrics, Sellathamby served as Vice President at
AMC Technologies and was business development manager at Micralyne, Inc.
In these roles, he implemented product development plans and created roadmaps
for new products including the development of related specifications.
Sellathamby earned his Bachelor of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical
Engineering at the University of Alberta, with a focus on control systems
and computer vision.
James Funke, Director of Operations
James Funke, an early investor in Scanimetrics, joined the company as
Director of Operations in 2007. His primary focus is to establish Scanimetrics
manufacturing Capabilities of probe cards, semiconductor devices and other
related products.
Funke brings to Scanimetrics his extensive manufacturing experience honed
from 18 years in designing electronic products and overseeing their manufacturing.
Previously, Funke was with Eaton Corporation, and served in various positions
including Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager and Production Manager.
His latest role before joining Scanimetrics was Manager of Systems Engineering
with Tesco Corporation, a manufacturer of top drive systems for the oil
and gas industry.
Funke has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Masters
of Business Administration from the University of Calgary.
